Refunds

Brainmaven takes the quality of our services very seriously. Our researchers are carefully trained to ensure they are preparing reports in line with our unique methodology that has been developed over many years of doing academic research.

If you feel that your report is lacking, we more than welcome your feedback. In fact, we encourage it on a report-by-report basis. You also will have the opportunity to receive a one-time refund for services rendered, regardless of your reasons. Should you continue to use our services and find that reports continue to not be of the nature you expect, we will refund your money but also disable your account as we expect our services are likely not appropriate for you.

Delivery

Our reports are delivered within the time frames requested by the customer at the time of asking a question and paying with credits. You will receive a confirmation within 60 minutes of submitting your query, noting that we have accepted your question and it is in the delivery queue. If we are unable to answer your question due to volume, availability, or other restrictions, we will promptly refund your credits and inform you that your question has been rejected.

Should Brainmaven accept a question and miss its delivery timeframe, you will be eligible to receive credits proportional to the delay in delivery. For example, if you picked a 24-hour delivery time frame and your report was delivered 6 hours late, you would be eligible for a 25% credit back to your account. If you would like to exercise your right to this refund, please email your complaint to SLA@brainmaven.com.

Privacy Policy

Brainmaven collects email addresses of people who send us email. We also collect information on what pages users access and information provided to us by users via surveys and site registrations. Such information may contain personal data about you, including your address, phone numbers, credit card numbers, etc. We are not allowed to disclose such personal information without your written permission. However, certain information collected from you and about you is used within the context of providing the Service. The information we collect is not shared with or sold to others except under certain circumstances and when your use of the Service is deemed to provide us with a valid consent to disclose the following:

In order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Brainmaven’s terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

Brainmaven does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other companies except to provide products or services you've requested or when we have your permission.

We will transfer information about you if Brainmaven is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, Brainmaven will notify you by email or by putting a prominent notice on the Brainmaven website before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

What we do with your information

When you register for Brainmaven, we ask for your name, company name, email address, billing address, and credit card information. Members who sign up using a coupon are not required to enter a credit card; however, if you want to do further research, you will need to provide your credit card information. Brainmaven does not store credit card information on its servers and instead works with PCI compliant transaction partners to ensure credit card information confidentiality and PCI compliancy.

Brainmaven uses the information we collect for the following general purposes: products and services provision, billing, identification and authentication, services improvement, contact, and research.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information, such as a credit card number on our registration form, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Disclosure

Brainmaven may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with court orders requiring us to do so or when your actions violate the Terms of Service.

Client Data Storage

Brainmaven owns the data storage, databases, and all rights to the Brainmaven application. However, subject to our Terms and Conditions, we make no claim to the rights of your data. You retain all rights to your data.

Cookies

A cookie is a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive.

Brainmaven uses cookies to record current session information. Our cookies generally last two weeks to six months. You are required to login to the Brainmaven site after a certain period of time has elapsed to protect you against others accidentally accessing the content of your account.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here or by means of a notice on our homepage so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
